Lest We Forget: When the rains came

A few months ago in August last year, a severe rainstorm hit the three Northen Regions (Upper East, Upper West and North) of Ghana.

The rains destroyed properties worth millions of cedies and displaced children and families in the regions concern.

There were weeks of flooding which impacted very negatively not only on the social landscape but on the economy.

The three Northern regions of Ghana supplement the economy with agricultural and farm produce which were washed down by the flood.

In pictures are some survivors and Victims of the unfortunate incident.

Many children were seen enthralled by the events and are helpless

Some children could afford to smile: They were together as family

In Bawku in the Upper West Region, the bridge that links the people of Garu-Tempane to the rest of collapsed

As you can see from the map, we share border with Togo on East, Ivory Coast on the West, Burkina Faso upper north.
